According to Dr. Mark Hyman, “the gut is designed to help us digest food, absorb nutrients, keep invaders out, and even produce helpful compounds like serotonin. That’s why the whole body will suffer when the gut is out of balance.”
I experienced this first hand when I was eating according to my emotions, rather than what my body needed. When I began nourishing my body, my digestive system began to heal. My IBS minimized and, by paying more attention, I realized I was lactose intolerant. I was absolutely amazed. Eating clean 80% of the time and increasing your water intake is vital to a healthy gut.
I composed a few dinners to help you get started. If you are new to clean eating, I highly suggest starting with the 30 Days to Healthy Living program to find out how your body responds to not having acidic/allergenic/inflammatory foods in your diet. Send me a message if you are interested so I can get you set up. There is a private Facebook group that I would add you in to guide you through the program. I want to be clear – this is not a diet – but rather a lifestyle change. These dinners are examples of ones you could eating during the program.
